After the Australian Grand Prix it's become a bit of a tradition that drivers celebrate, or drown their sorrows, at Boutique - a small and exclusive club in Melbourne's Prahran area which is a favourite of Paris Hilton, I'm told.
Nelson Piquet was on good form, and being very generous with the Grey Goose (cheers mate), which is why it's taken me most of the day to be in a fit state to construct a coherent sentence. Who was there? Kimi, Nico, Timo, Pedro de la Rosa was celebrating 10 years since he first raced in a grand prix... oh, and Jenson.
And it was, I think, the first time I've seen Ross Brawn in a nightclub. He seemed really relaxed, and was with his Mrs who I hadn't met before. An interesting fact - as has been reported, the last car to win on it's debut was the Wolf of Jody Scheckter at the 1977 Argentine GP. But did you know that Ross Brawn worked on that car too? Well, he did. He'd been seconded from Williams, aged 22.
Another story I heard at the party was that Bernie has said he's going to meet Richard Branson off the plane and take him straight to a casino, where he'll place one million pounds on any number Branson nominates. He really is a lucky son of a gun, and this Brawn sponsorship is an absolute coup. Not just for Sir Richard, but for Formula One too.
