As I posted before, Timo Glock's announcement at Manor/Virgin came as a surprise because he was close to finalizing a deal with Renault and he could have slotted into the seat at Mercedes Grand Prix that was rejected by Button. There's already a German beach towel lying on that seat.
I hear Lucas di Grassi will be announced as Glock's partner. Great that he's coming into F1, but I had hoped Renault had decided to give him the drive. So, who will be at Renault alongside Kubica? I suspect Vitaly Petrov, in a bid to encourage MegaFon to buy out Renault.
That is assuming Carlos Ghosn doesn't pull the shutters down on the team next month.
